Keyboard-first desktop calendar on Google Calendar
Status In daily use
The problem
I don’t like Google Calendar. It’s clunky, bloated and not nice to look at, and because it sits inside the whole Google ecosystem there’s no escaping it. I wanted a simple, clean calendar with shortcuts for everything, that still keeps my events in Google so they show up everywhere else.
What I built
A keyboard-first desktop calendar that reads from and writes to Google Calendar, with none of the bloat. Every action has a key: create, edit, move, delete, switch between day, week and month views. Repeating events are handled carefully: moving one occurrence moves it by how far it was dragged, not to where it landed, so the rest of the series stays put.
